It's a beautiful day ...

... according to U2. It really was a gorgeous morning and had me wandering down our lane, camera in hand.

I have wanted a sunrise shot in the Winter to record the difference in position of the sunrise from that in mid-Summer - this is first opportunity and was taken just before 9am.

The day stayed dry and still until mid-afternoon when the cloud thickened and the blue sky disappeared!
