Trompe-l’œil

After the disappointment of the rugby match l had a love surprise when my brother phoned me from Australia for a chat. He was 91 this week so l could wish him happy birthday.

Mr P went to gym and Elaine and l went to Saltaire for a couple of hours. A lovely place to be anytime but always good to be inside Salts Mill when it’s pouring down with rain.

A few purchases made and we had a coffee.
While l was waiting for Elaine l remember a spot that l have photographed but not blipped before at the back of the mill.
Don’t you just love this illusion?

Home now and the candles are on, dinner simmering nicely and we are just opening a bottle of red.
Strictly tonight, it’s also our village bonfire and firework display.
As it’s still wet outside we are staying home and will be popping into our conservatory to see the fireworks as we get a great view of them from there.
