Shopping For Tonight

Even the severe rain last night did not dampen the spirits of the many Día de los Muertos shoppers. The stalls lining the street were full of the necessary fixings to decorate departed loved one's gravesite. Many years ago we were in Pátzcuaro (one of the two best places in all of Mexico for this particular holiday) and did visit a cemetery at night. This spoiled us for all the subsequent years. One of these days, however, I am going to have to visit one of our local cemeteries just to see where all these flowers, and sugar skulls, and breads, and trinkets end up.
