Cardiff City 4 Birmingham 2

Cardiff City FC were a goal down after two minutes and playing dismally and with the pouring rain lashing down it looked like it was going to be one of those days. But following a penalty and anothe goal before half time, Cardiff led 2-1.

Shortly into the scond half, Cardiff had striker Danny Ward sent off for a reckless challenge and were down to 10 men but managed to score a third. Two minutes before the end Birmingham scored a scorcher to make it 3-2.  A minute later in extra time, Cardiff were awarded a penalty and Joe Ralls stepped up to make it 4-2 and score his 'hat trick' as seen in the blipfoto.
