Best till (almost) last

As the trees rapidly lose the  last of their leaves the colours are intensifying, leaving the best of what has already been a spectacular autumn to  the end of the season. 

But I also noticed this morning that the holly berries are now bright on the tree behind our shed - a benefit I think of rigorous pruning eighteen months ago.  No doubt I will blip them at some stage, providing the birds don't strip them first.
