We will remember them

I don't expect to be in Glasgow again before Remembrance Day ... I know it's a week early but I did want to post a blip of part of the Garden of Remembrance in George Square.

War Horse was on TV this afternoon. When I saw the film in the cinema my eyes were wet and the tears fell for most of the time ... I'm such a baby!  I managed to watch the final twenty minutes, well almost!

I love these words from the poem 'For the Fallen' by Lawrence Binyon

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
