Desert Dragonfly

While mother and babe were having a rest today, we took a drive up to Red Rock Canyon (only 5 miles away).  At one of my favorite photo locations, we stopped to get some pics.  The last thing I ever expected to see was a dragonfly.   After doing a little research, it appears they are commonly seen in the desert.    I believe this is a variegated Meadowhawk.
