Beneath Biscay

Salt-water shower

As storm Amelie abates, a passer by is given a parting gift, albeit much more modest one than the recent 10 metre waves registered in the port of Gijón would have provided.

The extra photo:

Yesterday I blipped somebody getting a shower from a wave. Today it was my turn for a soaking on the way to work. Fortunately I knew what to expect so took spare trousers. I keep spare shoes and socks at the office. What I didn't have were any towels. So when I arrived at the office I popped quickly into the supermarket next door to buy some tea towels. I was only inside a couple of minutes but when I went to leave I found someone had pinched my umbrella. Grrr.
