michh's low-tech snaps

Not 6.453.255.432.119, but another number. It seems to be hand-made.

The color tone that appears beneath the peeling grey looks very much like 'Ochsenblut' (translated: 'ox blood'), which was a certain brownish red used very often in houses at the beginning of the 20th century. I saw many floors in Berlin painted with this color. The paint fitted very well on wood and was very hard to remove although it must have been 80 or more years old. Looks as if this rather old paint is much more durable than the lateron overpainted grey.

This explanation is not meant as a metaphor for my conservativism, but just an observation.
