Holkham Estate

In the summer I decided I wanted to try a day trip back to Norfolk in half term. Today was the day earmarked then and boy were we lucky with the weather. It was beautiful.

At Holkham by 10.15am, we walked along the beach to Wells Beach Cafe. There we stopped for Sausage rolls and in my case coffee. We sat outside as it was warm enough. We then walked into Wells proper and out along the coastal path to Stiffkey. An 8mile walk all in all. At Stiffkey we stopped at the stores for coffee and cake (the best brownies) and bought a slice for both Daddy and Gary, as he was the person who recommended the place.

Back to Holkham on two buses, but with ease. A quick visit to the Adanam's shop and then home. That was my mistake. Home took forever because of rush hour. We should have had tea somewhere and then headed home. But all in all it was a lovely day. Hoping to repeat it, or similar at Christmas if weather allows.
