The Bridge Over The Pegnitz

I discovered this on my way to conference this morning.  It's a thing I like doing, taking different streets to see a bit more of the city.  However, if you look at a map, you'll see that there is no river between my hotel (Adina Apartment Hotel) & the conference venue (Derag Living Hotel), so I was more than a bit confused as to how I found myself here.  But it was 8 in the morning and I had plenty of time to retrace my steps and get to the conference in plenty of time.

The building on the left is the Weinstadel and is the largest Fachwerk house in Germany and with the ex-water-tower next to it, it is now accommodation for students.  Certainly a lot more glamorous than any Hall Of Residence that I've been in.

It was the last morning of the conference and the last two presentations were really just acronym soup for me.  Acronym soup accompanied by words that been misheard - lots of references to "stup" programs, where I'm pretty sure he meant "stub", and "egible" programs where I'm not sure what he meant at all.

A small adventure when we got back to Frankfurt, we used the Tunnel to get from platform 7 to Platform 24.  I'd never been through it before and it does save a lot of time.  It is apparently much nicer now than it was.  It was apparently a place for drug dealing and lots of other nefarious activities.

Home now - we were 8 minutes late arriving, that's pretty amazing.  And I have days off for the rest of the week and next week.  Hooray for time off.
