Wide Wednesday: Man Made

Having spent more time, certainly more time than we anticipated, in the travel agent's this morning we had to make a bit of a dash down to Sophie's school for Tess to get there in time for a (grand)parent /child craft session this afternoon. They were completing costumes for the fancy dress parade they are staging on Friday.

The theme is Numberblocks, the BBC maths-based children's TV programme, and Sophie is going as #2, encased in a large cardboard box painted orange (the box, not Sophie!), which she & Grandma put the finer details on today.
When we were doing the painting last week I was put in mind of the climax of To Kill A Mockingbird, where Scout dresses as a ham.

Hopefully, Friday's parade will go more smoothly than Scout's. You know what to expect of Friday's blip.

I wiled away the afternoon at Kate's where the best I could come up with for today's challenge was this pylon , next to the block of flats neighbouring Kate's. I do quite like a pylon, though.
