An eyecatching horse sculpture in Peebles commemorates Scott Brash’s show jumping success.  It was made from two tonnes of straightened used horse shoes including four which had been worn by his horse, Hello Sanctos.    Five thistles on the five bar showjump gate are symbolic of the Olympic rings with more iron thistles and roses at the side. A plaque states
In recognition of
Scott Brash M.B.E.
Local lad now World Class Show jumper.
His many achievements include. Team Gold Medal – London Olympics 2012 – The Rolex Grand Slam – Canada 2015 – gained by consecutive wins at the Grand Prix in Geneva, Aachen and Calgary, a feat never before accomplished.
Today Bobsblip’s widwed challenge is ‘manmade’ with these being designed by Kevin Paxton.
