Black hole

Watching today’s news is like peering down a dark hole. The throw twirled in front of me gives the same impression (blipped above).

Brexit, institutional racism, another resignation, a former Labour MP in tears urging the electorate to vote Tory. And that’s before checking the local news (yesterday was full of dreadful incidents - why are there no police to be seen).

Time to get out and clear the mind, and enjoy a sunny day and stroll on the beach. Max 10C. Will meet Mr B, perhaps at the café in Alum Chine if it stays fine.

Had an Ocado delivery last night. Unintentionally ordered 2 lots of carrots. I’d forgotten I’d already ordered a bag. Saw they had wonky ones for the bargain price of 60p. So now the proud owner of over 2 kilos of carrots. Mr B has made his wonderful roasted caramelised carrots with shallots. Better than sweets any time. but still have enough carrots for a month. May make a carrot slaw with Bramleys and olives.

And I’ve made a vegan jelly (‘made’ = pour a pint of boiling water over and stir). Found in Ocado. Must get some strawberries on the way home.

Have now cleaned and CG-90 greased all the window frames. Washing machine finishes soon, then I’m off.

Thanks to Ingeborg for today’s Abstract Thursday and hobbs for his November Moody Mono.
