Experiment

Yet another wet morning. We sat chatting over a coffee hoping the rain would go off but it just got a bit heavier so, golfing plans abandoned, I headed home and put my mind to culinary duties. Filo veggie samosas was the thinking; the result was a combo of my go-to Savitri Chowdhary book of Indian Cooking and an oft-used brick pastry recipe from a French cookery blogger. Seemed a pretty good match but the first trial was so-so, too much pastry, and the second got the same verdict from S. Still, the mix isn’t bad. I’ll persevere, third time lucky!
