Flower Friday - King Protea

As I passed one of the florists nearby this morning the lady was putting lots of these into buckets on the footpath in front of the shop. I stopped and took a few shots and then she thought I wanted to buy them and I had to say I just wanted a pic to show my friends - she was a bit disappointed! They are quite amazing flowers and I wish I could have used my macro on it! :o)

Another crazy day at work, weary and hot and a bit frazzled, 33c today and still 25c right now at 9.30pm. We’re heading for a very scary 40c tomorrow ugh!!! I’m going to see if I can stay awake to catch up with most of you tonight! xxx
