Swan Lake

Today's the day ………………………. not to see

We were in Castle Douglas late this afternoon - and because it had been a beautiful sunny day and the sky was clear, we decided to go to a place nearby where we had seen a fantastic murmuration of starlings last year.

We waited - and waited - but to no avail.  The starlings have obviously chosen a different spot this year to do their magic weaving in the sky.  And, all I can say is that, if they had been around, we would have had a marvellous view of them!

In the meantime, can you just make do with this picture of a swan instead ……………………….?
