Lorikeet Landing

This wasn't meant to be today's blip. For one reason or another we ended up in a small Hills town called Mt. Torrens. It is a unspoilt pioneer town, the like of which is really very rare. I was going to blip one of the many 100 year old plus buildings that are in the town.

When we came home, I stuck the washing in and did a pile of ironing, and then thought I would sit on the deck for a few minutes for a breather, camera in hand, and just see if I could get a Lorikeet in flight. By some sort of fluke I actually got a couple of shots, and this was the best one.

It's easy to see why they are called Rainbow Lorikeets. I've never actually seen the underside of their wings before.
