Mending nets on Aldeburgh beach.

We went off to Aldeburgh today with our friend Mandy from the Camera Club... The plan was to take a few photos and have lunch. We couldn't have picked a better day... Sunny and quite warm with hardly any wind.

We met this chap on the beach, we had a bit of a chat and he was happy to  have his photo taken. He gave us an insight into the regulations he has to work to, and while there are some by the EU, the most galling to him were home-grown. Different authorities issuing contradictory regulations.

It's amazing to note that this activity is as old as fishing itself and although the nets are nylon or some other plastic material, this has been going on just like this for thousands of years.
