Baby it's cold outside...

We had a few flakes of snow this morning and as I stared out of the bedroom window I spotted one of the wild ponies (well wouldn't you be wild if you were left out in all weathers to fend for yourself) taking refuge against the hedge. There are 13 ponies in total - 7 arrived last spring, one black and the rest black and white like this one. In summer, 6 of them had foals, so I'm guessing the 7th was a stallion. They seem as tough as old boots and are quite happily munching their way through the scrub grassland in the field. I took the picture using the zoom and through a not very clean window, so apologies if it's not as sharp as it might have been.
