Lesser Black-backed Gull

Alex and I had a long day surveying the rides at Shenley Wood in Milton Keynes. When we arrived home I was surprised to see this Lesser Black-backed Gull sitting on our roof, along with a Herring Gull on the chimney pot. Although these large gulls are now common inland, and are known to breed in the Peterborough area, it's the first time I've ever seen one in the garden rather than just flying over.
