Accidental effect

On our way to Alnwick to buy more tile spacers, we stopped off at Branton Lakes for a short walk in the afternoon,.

Beautiful, but more wintery than autumnal there today, with patches of ice by the path and a smattering of snow visible on the Cheviot and Hedgehope Hill in the distance. Most of the trees have lost their leaves, but there's still plenty of colour - some of the holly bushes are laden with berries and there are lots of bright red guilder rose berries too.

I rather like the effect on the blip, created when I accidentally took the photo whilst moving the camera. The extra shows the view as intended!

Off for a meal at Liz and Ian's in the evening.
