Golden lion

Looking even more golden in the early sunlight - this big cat is found, appropriately enough, above the door of the Lion Hotel - I imagine it was there looking much the same when Charles Darwin stayed at the hotel on his return home after the Beagle voyage, having arrived in town too late to wake up his household..
