Sunday

After last night’s successful Harvest Home, including a speaking part for the Rev P, today was an escape into the foothills.  A very fine day for a walk.  Early on we thought we stood a good chance of seeing Fair Isle (great visibility in the north) but a haily shooer on top put paid to that.  We shared a chilly moment with a handful of red grouse.  On descent we paralleled the Germiston Road and walked along to the reservoir.  We crossed the main road and walk down to Swanbister and around the Breck.

The Current Mrs Creel invited nine folk to soup and cake at HQ.  It included Aunty Myrtle.  Guess who washed up.  Today’s walk included the latest band to come out of Wick; The Naked Caminoes.  It’s hardly safe......

Tonight’s dancing will feature the New Dancing Programme.  Who ate Walter Kidd’s shin guards?
