Acer Bloodgood ...

A view of this lovely plant from our bedroom window this morning - it was a birthday gift from J last year. Such a surprise to see its leaves turn from deep burgundy to the brightest red before falling.

Today I went to the village remembrance service - memories came flooding into the sombre moment- of my people , most loved and now gone, who lived through that terrible time and without whom I would not have lived.

I am gradually feeling better and we decided to take a drive to West Kilbride before visiting J, N and the wee one.

A rather long day which started so beautifully frosty and turned to rain as we drove back home.
We watched the last episode of World on Fire. What a good series it has been .
