LENIN'S PROFILE

Daughter #1 brought the badge home from a school trip to the USSR in the late ’80s, and her father was wont to wear it on the lapel of his winter coat. He also coveted a winter hat given to my father by a Soviet general who was one of a party Dad hosted at the International Air Tattoo at the end of the Cold War, as a token of no hard feelings after the late unpleasantness or something similar. It wasn't a hat swap, though. Dad's RAF hat didn't go back to Moscow. Sadly for C the hat went to one of the nephews instead.

Anyway, here we are - a profile for Mono Monday.
