Les vignes en hiver, Fronton, France

Hard to believe that these woody stumps will be producing plump, sweet, juicy grapes next year, but they will.
Fronton, just north of Toulouse, is famous for the excellent wines produced here, that accompany the cassoulet admirably. This is on the vignoble of Château Bellevue la forêt, which is good - believe me.
The vignoble, seen from the air, is in the shape of a rugby ball, which is fitting as the best rugby club in the world is found in Toulouse - The Stade Toulousain!
It is also famous as Fronton wines use one cépage (grape), la Négrette, which is hardly used by any other vignoble in France.
