Tech failure

My iPad battery decided to stop playing nicely on Saturday and Sunday, so I managed to get an appointment at the apple store in Cambridge today and they could find nothing wrong with the battery, so have done a factory reset and I’m now restoring my backup.
I’m rather disappointed that ‘3 years’ is considered to be old and worth trading in not repairing.
Will have to see how it goes, but I’m rather dependent on it for my business, so unfortunately think I may have to get a new one
