Leak!

The photo is Coco, the Asian Brown Wood Owl, one of the owls we have at LC.
The title refers to my unhappy awakening this morning to no heating or hot water. Having dragged Mr L from the bed and performed various tests (he was a boiler engineer in an earlier life) he turned something on, and water started to come through the kitchen ceiling! This alerted him to the site of the problem, in the loft and so he struggled up the ladder. Once the spraying pipe was located, he realised he would not be able to fix it on his own! Several phone calls later and I got a plumber who could come out within the hour. The strange thing was, the plumber used to live in our house! His parents initially bought the house in 1999 but after his mother passed away he moved in to look after his father. He was clearly moved and shared lots of memories, as well as filling us in on some of the history.
