Framing the Fort

Made with 100% love

...and a little bit of wool.

We had Granny McGeek staying with us this weekend; she'd come down to take her daughter to see a certain Mr Barlow. She brought this young lady with her, who Ms Geek has christened "Clap-clap" (this may change; I think I'm not alone in hoping it does...)

I mentioned to Ms Geek that a lot of love had gone into making the teddy; she immediately replied "she's made with 100 per cent love...and a little bit of wool". And with that, Clap-clap became blip-worthy ;-)

Granny McGeek & Mrs G had fun watching Gary and, as ever, the whole family loved having her over. The only sadness is she had to leave early as the weathermen are making dread predictions of heavy snowfall...and with Aunty Tyre-lever really rather pregnant, it wouldn't do to be caught this far from home. So while we're all sorry to see her go, we know she has to. We'll just need to get her Les Miserables on DVD, as she won't be able to go tonight.

We're battening down the hatches, and preparing for a day of DVDs tomorrow. There might be shopping to be done, but I'm hoping my sacrifices of the weekend (childcare yesterday evening for the gig, queuing for tennis lessons at 9 this morning) mean I've accumulated enough Brownie Points to be the one who stays home...it's touch and go to be honest, but a man can dream!
