A Nothing Day

We achieved little today.

My attempt to change banks was naturally not as simple as you'd think. 

My bank changed their online banking system and I had no chance to change my username.  My username is too long for the new system and so I could no longer use online banking.  I asked for help from the bank and received the standard "the help you need is exactly the kind of help that we can't help you with" answer.  

I was told that someone would get back to me.

No-one ever did.

And so, down to the new bank.  

Me: "I'd like to make use of your oh-so-simple-leave-everything-to-us-we'll-shift-your-accounts service".
Them: "Oooh, well.... now... you'll have to see a consultant."
Me: "Sometime this week then?"
Them: "Oh that's a bit short notice..."

So far I'm loving the eagerness to help and the commitment to secure new business.

Customer Service remains a mystery to virtually every company here.
