Walking with Flowers

Remembrance Day

Went down to Oxford Brookes University for the two minute silence. It was good to remember and also to pray for a peaceful world. Today is the 101st anniversary of the 1918 Armistice. Not many people seem aware that, although the demobilisation had begun, British soldiers were still serving overseas in 1919, including the 2nd Gloucestershire Regiment who were posted to Tiflis in the Caucasus (now Tbilisi, capital of once-again independent Georgia).

On the way back spotted this oddly-named Black Nightshade with its lovely white flowers!
