Coracle and Roman galley

Lorna took a break from her diary in the middle of November 1939. However, now that we have access to her archive (passed on to us by her niece last weekend), we have a big choice of material to fill the gap to her next entry later in the month.

In the archive we found a watercolour frieze of boats. We will blip sections of it over the next few days. Unfortunately we have no idea of Lorna's age when she painted these pictures. Given the quality of her later work, we suspect that she was probably still a school girl. This could, perhaps, have been a school project.
