Battered

This is the finial on the cast iron bedstead in the Children's room at OGH.  We've been offered a brass and cast iron bed as a donation, but before we agree to accept it, we have to go through a number of checks.  Not the least, I have to find out who donated this original - if in fact it was donated and not loaned. 

The offered "new" bedstead looks to be in much better condition, and has brass finials.
