The Italian Chapel, Orkney

This was an amazing place to visit. It is the last building standing of a POW camp on Orkney used to house 700 Italians in WWII.

This chapel was built by the POWs for their own use during the war. It has a structure of a built front and two Nissan huts making up the main body. All the inside is painted to make it look like a cathedral.

The work is amazing - those guys were very talented.

Google it to find out more :)
