Big City Light

Katie, Duncan and Gordon in St Andrew Square, Edinburgh, the view behind along George Street to the west. We were there for haircuts and The Life of Pi, then Gourmet Burger and the traditional rush for the train.

Larger Light.

Life of Pi was probably the first "proper" film the children have seen. Just last week Gordon asked, "Dad, why do films always have a happy ending?" Well, you could argue the Life of Pi does, but it doesn't really does it? Katie cried for a good 10 minutes after the end. Great film, not quite up to the existentialism of the book but for a mainstream film - fabulous.

Gordon wasn't entirely happy about his haircut - despite going to my favourite barber! You can feel the mood in this picture! (and my favourite barber ;)
