Wet

It rained today.  It rained all day, and it rained like it meant it.  We have a bit of flooding in Stratford, luckily not on our street but pretty wet elsewhere.

When I say not in our street, I didn't mean not in our garden, two garden ponds have appeared overnight, one surrounding the hydrangea and another by the bird feeder.

As it was lashing down and the roads were flooding we decided to go out in the car.  Not too far, just outside Stratford to Snitterfield where a Farm Shop opened up a short while ago. It is a fairly impressive place with a top class produce market, a gift shop area and a large cafe, which is where we were heading.  As we sat down we were warned that nearby roads were being closed, but you can't keep Ann away from her coffee, so we stayed for a drink. It was surprisingly fairly busy.

Anyway we had a drink and a mooch round the shop before heading back home again.  By this time it would appear that the main A46 into Stratford was blocked someplace north of the direction we were going.

For the rest of the day we snuggled in front of the tennis and had a quiet day.
