Canterbury Cathedral

We had a little time to spare, this morning, before we went along to the event at which the Minx was speaking, so we had a mooch around Canterbury, which is charming in much the same way that York is. When I was younger, I didn't find the cathedral that impressive; it was just a big church. Now I'm bowled over by its scale.

It would have been nice to pop in and take a look around but the only entrance we saw required us to buy a ticket, which didn't seem very Christian. Still, we found a nice little coffee shop where we bought a couple of takeaways, taking some physical satisfaction in the absence of the spiritual.

After the presentation, we had precisely three hours and fifteen minutes to get to our next meeting, which turned out to be almost exactly the time estimated by the SatNav, so we had a break-free and mildly stressed journey along the M4 but we arrived on time for what turned out to be a delightful if slightly longer than expected meeting (two and a half hours!).

And so it was that we arrived it Pontypridd at around seven-thirty and decided that we'd just eat at the little hotel that the Minx had booked us into. Which turned out to be fantastic :-)
