Glass house summitry

This morning’s British Irish Council summit (they take place every six months or so and rotate round the member’s jurisdictions) was held in Farmleigh House in Phoenix Park in Dublin which was bought from the Guinness family and  restored by the Irish Government as the nation’s State House which is used to host visits and events.

The Conservatory is particularly fine and was where we had coffee this morning after a meeting between the Scottish and Welsh FMs and before the formal session which was held next door in the ballroom.

Someone ( I believe from a community Centre which the BIC Health Ministers had visited the night before, health and drugs being a special focus for today’s meeting)  had even gone to the bother of making special biscuits (which are my extra photo).
