Waste not want not!

I made these little bags yesterday at sewing and today I filled them and sewed up the final seam. They are weights for holding down the paper pattern pieces when dressmaking. I’ve always used pins, but see these used on sewing programmes on the tv.

They are filled with lentils.....out of date lentils, found when I cleared the cupboard recently of anything that predated 2018. I wasn’t going to throw them away so made these bags. The material is off cuts from a dress that I made about 30yrs ago.

A dry day today, after an awful wet day yesterday.
