A day of shades of grey

The whole day has been many shades of grey. Blips taken on the scenic route this morning were most unsatisfactory. We delivered and partook of croissants for breakfast. The children were in great form and Louie was doing his ram raiding impressions in his walker. He can fly. Back home I finally finished Louie's latest cardi. It's a lovely pattern and he has had 3 in white, baby blue and navy blue. I made this in the next size up. He will soon grow into it. I already have my requests for the next 2 garments - a hoodie and a jumper. I need to get cracking. The weather is foul. We managed a brisk walk almost to Dragonland and got soaked on the way back. Mammy is going out tonight for a joint birthday celebration with her friends. I don't envy them tottering round Newcastle on their high heels and shivering in their flimsy dresses. I will be in PJs very soon with a front row seat for Strictly and I am quite happy about that.
