Abyss!

We were in the Council lodging Tommy Sheppard's nomination papers for the forthcoming UKGE. The Council officials are great - so professional and friendly and helpful with what can be some pretty fraught admin. They are frazzled though - been so many elections and referendums to organise and this one's come at a time when the venues they use are busy with other things. This is the third time I've done it for Tommy in the space of four years.  Back in 2015 we hoped he was off to London as part of a coterie of undertakers to the Union. Really hoping this is the last UKGE we have to participate in. These stairs on the way out summed up the mood at the moment.
