A warning not get hooked!
We have discovered that my aunt who recently died, lost almost all her savings by a scam.  Earlier in the year she spoke of her worry when told that her bank account had been used fraudulently and was asked to help to find someone in the bank who was under police surveillance.  Being an intelligent astute lady, she was very suspicious at first but then was taken in.  She was not to tell anyone but did tell me and someone else.  Everything seemed very plausible and she said how grateful she was to the “very nice caring policeman” who visited her a couple of times to check she was ok and said thanks to her the net was closing in.  Regrettably, shortly before she died, the genuine police said nothing could be done as she had taken the criminals’ advice not to inform her bank.
