Another version of the truth

Evening all,

We have mainly avoided the worst of the recent flooding but there did appear the following day mysterious large silver parcels spaced out at regular intervals on some of the more isolated roads in and out of the villages.

A passing conversation with the window cleaner revealed that he'd noticed them too. 

We both immediately thought fly tipping, but he went and had a look at one and said he thought it looked like a load of emergency blankets and big tents.

We were both impressed with this forethought and compassion by the council  , so he took me up to have a look at one.

Looked like fly-tipped tent pieces to me, which mysteriously disappeared overnight.

I'm no nearer the truth,but i think the cynic in me knows the real truth,
