Mayflower

LNER Class B1 'Mayflower' on its way from London to York this morning. It was built to an LNER design but delivered to the newly nationalised British Railways in 1948. The name was only given to it in preservation.

A night on the town in Cambridge this evening. We had tickets to see veteran bluesman John Mayall but he cancelled the rest of his tour after his doctor told him he needed complete rest (he's 85, but already planning a new tour for next year). We'd booked a hotel on a non-refundable deal so have decided we may as well still go and see what delights Cambridge night-life has to offer on a Sunday evening!
