Cracked!

My plan of a nice quiet evening last night went to pot about 9.30pm when I had to head to A&E with hubby whose heart arrhythmia had been playing up! Being Saturday the place was inundated and it was after 2am before we actually saw a Dr...by which time things had settled down again! Hats off to the staff though on what I imagine was probably a typical Saturday night filled mainly with drink related injuries...the one plus side being everyone else had mostly arrived by taxi or police vehicle so there was plenty of car parking spaces! Eventually arrived home about 3.30am beyond tired but wide awake after the drive home.

Consequently it was afternoon by the time I was dressed and compus mentis today by which time the sun was putting in an unexpected appearance. A wander around the garden followed by a walk around the block waiting to see if we were going to get a sunset (extra). 

This bridge is about a mile from us and crosses the burn which flows past our house...the crack is forever getting bigger with no attempt to either patch it up or fix it! Since it’s the main route into the village I assume they’re not going to leave it to go completely derelict!
