Steph's window on life...

London - Day 1/2.

Today has been amazing! We got the 9.35am flight from Belfast to Gatwick. Once, we arrived at Gatwick, we got the Gatwick express to Victoria, which was closely followed by a visit to Buckingham Palace, to watch the changing of the guard. After Buckingham Palace, we took a walk through Piccadilly, down to Leicester Sq, where we stopped at Pizza Hut to have some lunch.

After lunch we took a dander through Leicester Sq, visiting some of the shops, before heading down to The National Portrait Gallery, to see the Duchess of Cambridge's new portrait which you technically aren't allowed to photograph, but everyone was doing it, which Caroline simply had to see. Personally I don't think it's entirely flattering, but that's just me. Once we'd seem Kate's portrait, we visited Trafalgar Sq, before heading down to Westminster, via Downing St, to see the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. I met my friend Daniel, who's at uni in London at Westminster and he came with us to Harrods, which was an amazing experience! Especially their Harry Potter bit! Loved it.

We said goodbye to Daniel, then got the tube to our hotel, where we checked in, had a quick rest, then headed back down to the Cambridge Theatre to see Matilda, which was absolutely amazing! Very very funny! Loved every minute of it. Once we'd seem the play, we took a walk through Covent Garden, before heading back to the hotel. Everyone's getting ready for bed, before another busy day tomorrow, before our 8.55pm flight home.

Steph.
