Linlithgow Palace post Chanel

This is the crows eye view of Linlithgow Palace. The woodwork down below surrounding the central fountain was added Mr Lagerfeld back in December for the Chanel fashion event. I believe they decided to hang onto it for now as it's handy for rainy days, weddings, ceilidhs etc.
Orignally built on the site of a 12th Century manor, it was the main residence for the monarchs of Scotland in the 15th and 16th centuries, then became more of a holiday home when they moved down to London, blah blah... Check out the usual place for more info.
This may well be my entry this week for the theme of "Something Old"
