Sleeping beauty

The neighborhood cormorant crawled up in the back yard and took a nap. I did not realize they spent so much time on land. He does not appear to be sick or injured. It flies from place to place. So I slipped down the yard, took a few shots, moved a little closer and took a few more. When I stopped I was right beside him and he never woke up or moved a feather. This is strange behavior. I've seen foxes in the yard this fall. It needs to be a little more aware of its surroundings!
