Otter on the Loch of Stenness

I was a bit late hitting the road today but it turned out well. I walked around the RSPB reserve on the Loch of Stenness and then along the road and shore of the Loch of Harray. The otter was fishing in the Loch of Stenness and, although he heard my camera shutter (now muted) he wasn't bothered and carried on fishing- catching a small flatfish. Not far away a pair of harbour seals were mating and making such a racket that they were asked to leave the loch!
Lots of birds on the lochs- goldeneye, long-tailed ducks, red-breasted mergansers, Slavonian grebes etc and flocks of golden plover overhead.
